Great traditional pub right on the quayside. We had the crab salad and haddock fillet and both were excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was busy but friendly and not too noisy. The kind of pub you'd want as your local.
A few minutes later I was at a loss for words because of the food! It's a seafood pub and the food is absolutely delicious, no matter what you choose! The beer is unique, try their Ale (the DBC Jurassic is incredible!). The 2-hours drive from London is worth it just to visit this pub! Definitely recommended!
Fabulous pub specialising in seafood. Best meal so far this year. Fish pie with a good helping of seafood including big flakey chunks of smoked haddock, topped off with mash and crispy grilled cheese. Prawns with crusty bread to mop up the butter garlic sauce were awesome. Scallops with black pudding and lardons were sublime. Friendly, polite and efficient staff.
